Non-commercial organizations may carry out economic activities compatible with their statutory purpose, which may constitute social entrepreneurship activities.
NGOs also have the legal right to create and own limited liability companies (LLCs) for the purpose of carrying out economic activities.
Businesses that comply with the provisions of Law No. 845/1992, amended in 2017, can obtain the status of social enterprise or social integration enterprise if they carry out activities with a social purpose and meet the legal conditions regarding profit reinvestment and social inclusion.
Impact businesses are businesses that combine economic sustainability with the intentional generation of social and/or environmental impact, integrating their impact mission into their business model.

Through personalised guidance, business model development and clearly defined measurable goals, the programme supports the growth of social enterprises and strengthens their long-term sustainability. By combining real business expertise with impact-driven innovation, the mentoring programme helps entrepreneurs scale their initiatives and create measurable social impact.Impact Hackathons create an intensive co-creation environment where young people and local communities work together to develop solutions to social and environmental challenges. Over the course of just a few days, ideas are tested, validated and transformed into early-stage prototypes ready for further development within the Impact Space ecosystem. EASTERN EUROPEAN FOUNDATION
FEE empowers people and communities in Moldova through programs for democracy, good governance, and economic prosperity. Founded in 2009 from the experience of the Eurasia Foundation, it has been supporting social entrepreneurship since 2012 (intensively since 2018) and has supported over 60 projects by December 2025.

The European Business Association (EBA Moldova) is a support organization with over 120 member companies in energy, industry, and services. For over 14 years, EBA has been promoting public-private dialogue, EU-Moldova trade and investment, and the alignment of legislation with European standards and best practices through advocacy, matchmaking, and networking.
EcoVisio
EcoVisio promotes sustainable development in the Republic of Moldova through green economy programs, education for sustainability, and support for social entrepreneurship. The organization supports initiatives in areas such as organic agriculture, waste management, and energy efficiency, contributing to the formation of resilient communities and the integration of sustainable practices into the local economy.
AOPD
AOPD (Alliance of Organizations for Persons with Disabilities) integrates the disability perspective into the Impact Space ecosystem. The Impact Space mentoring program is designed to support social entrepreneurs in overcoming challenges in developing their initiatives. The activity is implemented within the Impact Space project by the European Business Association of Moldova (EBA Moldova), providing access to practical expertise from the business environment.
The program offers mentoring to approximately 10 beneficiaries per year, selected through a competitive process. Each participant is paired with a mentor who guides them in identifying appropriate solutions, developing the necessary skills, and implementing concrete measures for growth and sustainability.
Through this program, social enterprises and impact businesses receive strategic support, applied recommendations, and access to best practices, contributing to their long-term consolidation.

The Impact Space scholarship program offers social entrepreneurs the opportunity to participate in international events, conferences, exhibitions, and workshops relevant to the development of impact businesses. The purpose of the scholarships is to facilitate access to new knowledge, best practices, and professional networks that can directly contribute to the growth of organizations in the Republic of Moldova.
Beneficiaries are selected through a competitive process and can receive financial support to participate in relevant events abroad. The scholarships allow entrepreneurs to learn from international experts, discover innovative trends, and establish useful partnerships to expand their activities.

The Impact Space internship program offers social entrepreneurs the opportunity to learn directly from the experience of organizations and companies abroad. The purpose of the internships is to expose beneficiaries to successful models, innovative practices, and tested solutions that can later be applied in their own impact initiatives in the Republic of Moldova.
Participants selected through a competition benefit from internships of up to one week in similar organizations in other countries, where they can observe operational processes, working methods, and effective development strategies. The practical experience helps them better understand the dynamics of international markets, identify opportunities for expansion, and strengthen their professional skills.
Through these internships, social entrepreneurs gain concrete tools, new ideas, and valuable contacts, contributing to the sustainability and quality of the services offered to their communities.

The Impact Hackathon program is an intensive innovation event dedicated to young people and local communities, where concrete solutions to social and environmental problems are developed. The hackathons organized within the Impact Space project create a space for co-creation, learning, and collaboration, where participants transform ideas into impactful business prototypes.
During the hackathons, teams of young people work for two days alongside mentors and experts, going through stages of design thinking, teamwork, idea validation, and pitch preparation. The events are organized in different regions of the country, such as Bălți and Comrat, with a focus on eco-social solutions tailored to local needs.
The result of the hackathons is the development of innovative prototypes, the formation of motivated teams, and increased interest among young people in social entrepreneurship and the green economy. The best ideas have the opportunity to continue their development in other Impact Space programs.ACCELERATOR PROGRAM
Impact Accelerator is an intensive development program dedicated to social enterprises and impact businesses in the Republic of Moldova. The program offers entrepreneurs a structured path of learning, networking, and growth through practical sessions, thematic training, and personalized mentoring. The goal of the accelerator is to
transform existing ideas and initiatives into sustainable, competitive businesses focused on real impact.
The accelerator includes a 6-day in-person training program with essential modules such as strategic planning and business planning, organizational diagnosis and impact measurement, access to financing, digital transformation, social marketing, and customer relations. Participants work directly with local experts and trainers through applied exercises and concrete development tools.
After completing the program, beneficiaries have access to thematic webinars and post-accelerator mentoring tailored to the needs of each organization. The result: better-structured businesses, more prepared teams, and initiatives with a stronger social and economic impact.GRANTS PROGRAMM
